CARVAJAL

Laura Carvajal was born in Bogotá, Colombia in 1997. She studied film and television production at the Centro de Investigación Cinematográfica in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has directed various fiction short films, including “Bendito Seas,” which participated in the 48 Hour Film Buenos Aires competition in 2018, and “Puedo Salir de Acá,” a fiction short film selected for the Rojo Sangre Buenos Aires Film Festival in 2017. She has also worked as a director of photography for “Monarca Sesiones” and several short films, such as “Auroras Boreales” in 2020.

Currently residing in Bogotá, Colombia, Laura Carvajal has been working since 2019 at La Cueva casa creativa SAS as a partner, director, and editor. She has recently ventured into directing music videos and short documentaries motivated and inspired by women’s roles and gender-focused themes, including psychological horror and suspense. She collaborates with various artists and young creators at La Cueva on the development of audiovisual and transmedia projects that highlight social and cultural issues of interest.
