Synopsis
José Agustín (96), a Wayuu indigenous, was taken away from his mother, his culture, and his land when he was a child to be educated by Catholic priests. Following a near-death experience, his grandson, the documentary’s director, accompanies him on a physical and spiritual journey to reconcile with his past. In his dreams, his deceased mother invites him on an inner journey in which he attends the exhumation of his own remains, fulfilling his longing to rest on his land in his family cemetery.
