Valentina García (born in Bogotá, 1997) graduated in Film and TV and Photography from Universidad de Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano. As a student, she had her first work experience as a lighting assistant on the film “¿Cómo te llamas?” (2017). Following that, she also worked as a lighting assistant on commercials and music videos. She served as the director of photography for the short film “Zonas Grises” (2017), which was featured in various national and international festivals, including the Bogoshorts Short Film Festival. With 5 years of experience, Valentina has worked as a gaffer on 3 films, including “Petit Mal” (2021), a film nominated in the official selection of the Tribeca Film Festival (2022) and the Guadalajara International Film Festival (2022). She also worked as the director of photography for the music video “Frío” (2021) by El Boscko.

Currently, she works as a freelancer, primarily in the lighting department and as a camera assistant.
